peter pan necklace!

picture from Alison's blog (sheblogsheblogs)

I found this awesome tutorial explaining how to do a super cute peter pan necklace with studs! It's so easy to do and the pattern is included for download.  Check it at sheblogssheblogs.

I got inspired so I'm in the process of making mine.  I used some fake red leather from a local store and gold studs I bought last year  from PurpleDolly. Still thinking if I'm going to put more studs on this one or just leave it like (I only have 4 more studs).  To finish it just add some chain or ribbon and it's ready to wear.

If you try this tut post some pics!

Neat tutorial

I found this cool tutorial on doing a ribbon covered bangle.   They look awesome! I think I'm going to try this since I have some bangles that I don't use anymore and lots of ribbons.

burda style 7372

When I'm at a sewing store the first things that I go check are the patterns and fabrics.  For a long time now I've been looking for  a pattern of a dress with buttons on the front with a flowingly  feeling and I finally found it.

This pattern is from Burda Style numbered 7372; I bought it from Sewing Patterns Review. It remind me of a dress I  recently bought from Urban Outfitters.

Sorry for the crappy pic

Now I'm looking for fabrics to use.  Some ideas:

Any ideas?

Instax Mini

I guess this week it's all about photography because I keep bumping into photo related things while surfing the internet.  Maybe I'm becoming a little obsessed.  Well let's stop the babbling and get right to the chase; if that makes any sense…

For a while now I've been looking for albums for my FUJIFILM Mini Instant Camera pictures.  I have lots of pictures on a sad box under my bed and they really need a new comfortable and safe place.  I really don't know how I ended up here but this website, MochiThings.com offers different options for your mini photos.

The first one, in no particular order, is the Mini Polaroid Album Stand. It can fit up to 68 pictures and it looks really cool; you can change the pictures when a new day comes. If you like that check also this one.

Second one: Instax Mini Decoration Set.

Yes, I know what you are thinking: "I CAN DO THAT!".  I thought the same thing.  This one inspired me to start a new project. The cost  is $9.95 for only seven frames, seven color wood clips and braid.  For that same price I bet you can double the frames or what the heck, maybe even more.  (I'm putting this on my to-do-list).  But if you are tight on time or just lazy you can still buy them over here

First of all I'm not a big fan of color green, like my sister, but I love how this frame looks because of the Apple Green Color.  This is a great idea for displaying your favorite picture at your office desk or by a night stand.  The best part: It's a magnetic frame and photo board.  They also sell apart different magnet frames that you can easily swap for a new picture with a different color.

If you are just looking for a simple and stylish album this one is for you.  It can fit 64 instax and it comes with a card so you can label your album.

I still can't decide which one I like.  If you want to check their variety just click here

It's me….Mario!

Hello curiousers! One of my favorite games is Super Mario Bros! I'm so obsessed with the series that I even have it on my phone, computer, wii, and the Nintendo DSi. Okay, on everything I own! I remember as a kid I played and owned all Nintendo consoles. I started with the Nes, and then had a Super Nintendo, Gameboy, N64, Gamecube and right now I have the Nintendo DSi and the red Wii, Super Mario Bros 25th year anniversary edtion. My favorite Mario game will forever be Super Mario Bros 3. I still love to play it; I love the pixelated graphics, the music, the simplicity of it and how easily you can die. To this day I still enjoy it. But why am I babbling about this? Well I found this great wallpaper that caused instant nostalgia. I'm so excited it about it that I would like to share it with you! Go check it out over here.

And if that doesn't calm your Mario addiction and after all this is a crafty blog try this Super Mario Bros magnetic board done by Laboratory 424. I know I'll be doing that one soon.

What retro games you worship?

TGIMF!

Another musical Friday brought to you by Curioux Disorder! Ahem! I've being going cuckoo these days, my current job is setting up on a new location and I haven't worked a lot. Yes haven't. Too bad for me! This Friday I'm doing things a little bit different. Since the page that I used for doing the playlist has a limit (yeah what a shitty page) and I've looked everywhere for other sites who could do the same as that one but none of them are successful. So I'll put the names of it as I always do and you have the option to download the zip file; where all the songs and the playlist is included. Piece of cake, right? So let the good times roll!

  1. Blondie Sunday Girl
  2. Peter, Bjorn & John I just wanna see through
  3. Julian CasaBlancas Out of the Blue
  4. Passion Pit Sleepyhead
  5. Los Nikis Yo soy tu sombra
  6. Adam & the Ants Cleopatra
  7. The Queers Love, love, love
  8. The Go-Betweens Palm Sunday
  9. The Skatalites Music storeroom
  10. Phoenix Sometimes in the Fall
  11. Vampire Weekend Diplomat's son
  12. Best Coast Crazy for you
  13. MGMT Electric feel
  14. Misfits Some kinda hate

Oh yes! Here's the link!

Pictures!

Hello curiosos! Today is a really beautiful sunny day with a nice breeze! I'm so relieved it's not that hot like some of the past days. I've been having a lot of free time. I sewed some tiny pouches, got to finish a fun and easy to do purse, did a paper record calendar, did flowers using fabric and took some pictures. So here's the finished product:

Fantastic melon purse. I love it.

A closer look. I did the fabric flower as a pin so you can take it off or leave it there. It also has outside pockets.

One of the tiny camo pouches I did. Sorry for the low quality pic I took it with my cellphone.

I'm in love with this record player calendar. I found it over here. Curiosity is a marketing company and they offer monthly calendars using different ideas for you to paper craft. April is my birthday month and I love record players so I couldn't pass this!

Another one of my obsessions; gnomes.

A flower fabric I made using polka dot fabric.

That's it for today! I'm going bike riding at the Linear Park near my house. Stay tuned for tomorrow Friday and I'll get you a new playlist!
